Mezuzah

The Mezuzah is a unique piece of Judaica, a symbol and reminder of our connection with God every, we pass through the door of a Jewish home or office. Affixing the mezuzah on your doorpost will offer protection for evil and dangers that surround us. 
The Mezuzah is made up of a mezuzah scroll and a mezuzah case. Upon the scroll are the words of the Shema, and one of Gods many names on the outside. 
A mezuzah which meets all the specifications of Jewish law must contain a mezuzah parchment that has been handwritten in ancient Hebrew calligraphy by a “sofer,” a trained Jewish scribe, who is well-versed in halacha. 
This scroll is rolled up and placed into a case for safekeeping, which is then affixed to the doorposts.
